Design- session 2

For today’s class we were supposed to bring some of our favourite extracted shapes and designs. The session started off with a briefing about what all we were supposed to do today. Then we were asked to download this art application (Pantone) that helps in extracting a colour palette from a picture. I decided to stick with reds, nudes and browns. After a bit of brain storming I created an illustration of an Avant garde dress design with golden borders. I was not very happy with my design but I decided to keep it and experiment with it more later. I decided to use water colours and ink pens.

Then we were asked to create a fabric board using images of different types of fabric designs. I decided to stick with tulle, silk and cotton denim for my products. I enjoyed today’s class since I already had ideas about fabrics and different textures as I have studied about it in fashion design before. I was happy with my SDS outcome as well.
