Media session 13- Front covers

For today’s class we were taught how to go about making covers.We were asked to make 3 covers for both the magazines that we selected. I had selected Vogue and Dazed so I created around 3 covers in class for each of the magazines, so in total I was able to create 6 magazine covers. We were shown different examples of a cover and what are the different important elements it should have.

I started off using the photoshoot images that I took. For Dazed magazine I went for a cool, bold and a freedom vibe, where I used images from my makeup photoshoot. For Vogue magazine I selected more sophisticated and fashionable images with an overall high fashion vibe. It was a very fun class and I enjoyed experimenting with different layouts and designs for the cover. This whole process helped me decide on a cover for my own magazine as well.
