Visual studies – session 1

Today we had to experiment with quick sketching and illustration art. We started off by sketching free hand style hand drawing from different angles within a few minutes. It was nice and refreshing task to open up the hand muscles. Then we started drawing each other’s shoes, legs and bottoms in different styles. We tried line drawing, illustration style, digital art, etc. Then we were asked to form groups and pile our designed shoes together and put them in an interesting positions. Then we started sketching the shoes with all the details using different pens, colours, markers, etc.

It was a fun and relaxing class with a lot of hand drawing exercises. I came back and immediately decided to do the SDS work and I saved some time.
